Not sure why you're so worried about it, I mean, do they even let you ride jet skis at the old-folks home? I'm just sayin...

IDK know D!4K , it could be because I was riding and building freestyle skis before you were born, Do they even let you ride skis in in daycare? I am just saying

Oh good lord, Terry. No more references to "back in my day", please. (Or Suzi will keep calling you :smashfreakB:)

Back on topic, you may want to look into sailboat parts. Our boats all have had nice track systems for quickly adjusting position of components.

Back in the day when there was real freestyle and not just backflips and barrel rolls we didn't need footholds, there happy now Snow?

Had to chime in here , Terry got his start in the water craft industry repairing dugout canoes for the local French trappers . Terry may old and crotchety ......... but ...... he is wise . Few on this board know more about the obscure minutia than the T man . Back to topic , Take a look at this track system, they have several types . I may go this route .

I've been googling the crap out of adjustable track system and I have yet to come up with anything. If you get your hands on some of this, let me know. This looks promising.

i ripped apart some $30 windsurf boards. super simple design and install if you just look at those KRASH pics. ill post up pics. here is a pic though of a local matal surplus place nearby if anyone wants some its really cheap. think this 30 inch piece was $4 (if you want it). bolts of the correct size slide right in.
then take a foothold and cut it apart or make a splash of it and beef it up .
maybe ill make some kits for like $150 hahah :)

That track looks pretty nice really. I like that it has a flange on it that would help with glassing it down. The T-Track that Sportfish posted would probably need some sort of flange welded to it or something to allow it to be glassed in, maybe just roughed up and bonded to the finished tray?

I'm a ways away from NEEDING material for this build, but the price is right on this stuff.

If you made kits for $150 they'd sell! Even for $200, which might make the labor involved worth it. These aren't exactly going to be easy to make.

I have some Blowsion Kickers I cut out of this ski, I plan on taking them and beefing/bracing them for this project. I'm still thinking of adding a track on bottom and one on top or the side for extra support. This way you wouldn't have to over engineer the hold and stresses can be spread over two different attaching points. I'd hate to have this done and the hold flexes like crazy, or breaks the track out of the glass. I'd just need to make a jig to make sure the tracks were parallel to each other.

Happy? Heck, I was happy when Eric Roy was still competing on s SN and barrel rolling with a piece of plastic chain holding him in the tray.
