Yeah, I'm ordering a set of 3.5 inch ROK risers off ebay. I wish I knew which snowmobile's handdlebar clamps had the same spacing as the UMI steering neck. The block risers are much cheaper than the adjustable ROK risers.
The bar postion is actualy great when you are ripping hard in the surf. It turns great! More control in turns and can get the boat leaned farther over with the fixed steering. You are so far forward on the ski, so it is much easier to keep the nose down on reentries, etc. I usually have a hard time keeping the nose down with reentries with the pole
Couple pics from beautiful Huguenot State Park at Jacksonville Beach. Great place to ride.

Thanks!
I cut the center out of the SN hood, epoxied the cut down raider hood part, filled the voids with great stuff can foam, cut and shaped the foam and laid glass over it. then I glassed in the bottom 6inches or so of a stock SN pole. Stock up on sandpaper!!

Finally put it on the std length hull and also bought some snowmobile style handlebar risers. They are adjustable forward & back. I made a simple front foothold from the blue panel foam. Still need to turf front hold and the rails and nose.
We had some decent surf today. It rails turns but you can also easily slide it out on a wave face. It feels light when you are on it
