He's alive!!!

Compound fracture on his left leg, broken left wrist and LOTS of road rash.

He had an emergency surgury about four hours after the accident and is schedules for surgery again tommorrow on his wrist AND leg.

not to go off topic,but the 08 1000s are way faster,,they have a 2 stroke power band , crazy fast.

Glad to hear hes ok, Ive seen people not come away from far less of a wreck. That is why I do not own a sport bike.. Im not responsible enough to ride it in a safe maner. Ill stick to the tracks and for the street,my CRF250R super moto is just fine. I can only go 54 on it,but can pull the front up in any gear with a twist.

Thats why you don't go stupid on a sport bike. Just cause you have one doesn't mean you have to go speeding everywhere...

You don't lose control at 100. You flip it over in a wheelie or you hit something. The bike wants to go dead straight at 100. If you drove off the road at 100 you didn't lose control you just don't know how to ride. And yes the 08's would dust the 03-07 cbr1000's much lighter and much more powerful. Good luck parting that out! You can probably count the parts not bent or destroyed on one hand. Most of which are engine internals.

thankfully he is still alive. but i do have to say that stupidity can be painfull. i have a few friends that learned the same way, some luckier than others. i hope he recovers all right and learns from this experience.
