Super Glue.

Go to a hobby store and get a small bottle of it, actual name is cyanoacrylate, or CA for short. It's like $6 for a small bottle that will do several skis. I like the 10-20 second set stuff but you can get slower or faster set times.

I just used the backing that came on my seal material from McMaster Carr. The stuff sticks great!

Are you using an OEM seal, or an aftermarket?

do you know what kind you used and how is it working for you?
thanks

I'm planning on using the 3m weather stripping adhesive on my new oem seal. Do you need to weigh down the seal with an unlatched hood as it bonds (assuming no goop sticks is leaking around the edges) or just kind of smush it in place? Also, I still had some bits and pieces of old glue around the lip when I repainted - should I scuff this up a little bit or will it be fine?

Excellent timing on this topic---my hood seal needs to be re-glued.

AFTER I replace a broken steering cable. :banghead:

The 3M Weatherstripping in black can be had at auto stores like Autozone.

I've gotten decent sized bottles of Super Glue (cyanoacrylate) from Target.
