Hood Hooks Options? (part bolts to hood)

Well, I bend the hell out of mine from a stalled BF (also bend hood latch and cracked hood a little). It was a good surf day buy costly.

I remember seeing someone selling beefed up OEM style hooks that had welded tabs. Who sell these?

I know XFT makes a really nice looking billet hook. Anyone know who has these in stock? (in black or silver)

Pat at XMetal was making the beefed up OEM ones. They are more than strong enough. I am not sure if he is still making them though as he was planning on a complete new design hook.

The XFT ones are nice also. Check with CG Racing on them.

With the XFT type hooks, you'll simply crack the hood with a hard impact. The energy has to go somewhere. Might be better to allow give in the oem hook and bend it back when required, and use Hood straps to help spread the load on an impact.

Well, I cracked my hood with stock hood hooks (hood). It pushed them and the hood latch to one side.
