Hood Rat to Hot Rod... Js300/440/550 Thing.

except that it is alot easier to find someone floating on the surface compared to drowned underwater...

Lol

All joking aside, will somebody please help me because I have no idea how I want to paint this Jetski and I'm really frustrated trying to figure it out.

Post some pictures of some paint jobs so I can ponder on which one I decide to go around with...

Looking great TJ. It's a lot easier to see whats going on from these pics instead of my phone. Keep at it. I think a silver sheet metal/rivet theme with some pinup girls would be sick. I have TONS of paint at the shop, come by and ill hook u up

I have been working a lot lately (and not my ski UGH!!) but I did get a little work done over the weekend....image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

And I was also curious because I want to do rear exhaust I was thinking of having the exhaust come out by the pump cavity?? Do you guys think this is a bad idea?

After I read around the forums I have decided instead of the pump dump exhaust I will do a side exhaust 1' past the bulkhead. Mainly because of cavitation issues.... Like you guys said.

I am going to build my own side exhaust outlet out of 2" stainless pipe and 3/16" stainless plate. It's a lot cheaper than the Blowsion one.

Finished...(just about) the recessed handles for my JS 550. Turned out pretty good I think.

Also finished the inside of the nose. The pics are just when I was measuring out the glass.

If any you guys are members of PWC today you might've ran across the "Fox mod", I decided to try it myself... I see a lot of guys do lots of work to the outside of the Hull but never much to the bottom, which in my eyes a 500 hp rat Rod is much more appealing than a Poniac fiero kit car that looks like a Ferrari. Being pretty only complements performance!

Add some 1/4" dowel rod

add some glass… and BAM! Now you have the ability to carve on a JS hull.

So it's been a while since the last update and not much progress has happened, I have been spending too much time riding my new ski instead of finishing the JS hull.image.jpg
