Anybody have pics of how they installed the jet maniac straps on their ski? I've been thinking of buying his kit but I ride the crap out of my Kawi 550 and haven't really seen a strap kit installed on these old skis.

^^^ Fortunately as long as you haven't de-foamed your ski it will not sink all the way. That's my Son on the 650... he wasn't sure what to do... but he towed me to shore, we pulled the plugs, flipped it over and cranked the water out, emptied the fuel tank, blew out the fuel lines, and started it right up. Took about 20 minutes and it was running again. This is not so bad on flat water, but if this happens in the surf, your screwed... not only that you'll get pounded, but also all the suspended sand in the water.

I didnt do any drilling on my RN for the hood straps. Attached front of straps under the clips that hold the hood and the back to where the bottom rivets were that held the plastic cover on the bulk head.

ha been there before

was out on rough day n my buddy took on more then he could dish out...

ski just sits there going up n down like a bobber on a fishing line..

of course about a dozen boats went past n no one helped....all we did was pull plugs, drain the many gallons of water, n fired her right back up.

meh..its fine ive sunk so many times in the surf ive lost count...motors still running strong..just have to get it running again quickly and pin it for another half hr or so to get it all out...

i would keep the stock latch and use the wamiltons bungee straps...you will be out shredding while your friends are fumbling with their ratchet straps...ive been slammed so hard with those straps and havent lost a hood..cant say the same for other companies hood straps..

Link to my build... kinda dead in the water right now... my paint guy got kinda busy and put me off...

I am running OCD's tidy harness setup for my dual bilge...
dont think i need a scupper with a total pumping capacity of 1300gph from the bilge pumps...
Just picked up an aluminum finger throttle....
running an aluminum pole with a pole limit strap...
as soon as it gets back from paint i will be installing TOBY's footholds and returfing... then by that time will be ready to ride again up here in the cold north...
