Ok, so here is the situation.

I flattened the pole mount area oni my square to run an unmodified RN pole, and RN bracket.....

I have SN hooks on my hood, but I need some for the bracket area.

Should I...

Run the SN hood hooks, and some RN hooks for the bracket

Run some RN hooks on the hood, and RN on the bracket. I'm sure SN would work with RN hooks on the bracket, but are the RN stronger? It almost seems like the SN would be stronger since they look to be a little shorter.

You have more fab skills than me and seem to be more meticulous than me too, so this may not be anything ur interested in, but............
I used the stock SN hood hooks and brackets on my SN pole bracket with RN pole. I had to cut the stockers in half, but they're there just to guide my hood in place and then the hood straps and ratchet do the holding. I looked at some a/m hood hooks and thought they may squeeze in. I measured my hook width to be about 5/8-3/4"...IDK what blowsion's or x-metal's widths are, but I sure wanted to try a set out.

The thing is, I would mount up my SN hooks but I gave away my bracket that I had, and the hooks were still mounted. The RN bracket I am using is alot skinnier at the base than the SN bracket, so I am going to have them outside of the bracket area. On the RN bracket, the main reason it is skinnier is because it uses studs in the bottom of the bracket, so they didn't need to make a flange to through bolt it on.

And pfft on the fab skills! I may be a bit more anal, but that's about it :D

Hey Pablo... I just started grinding my SN bracket for my RN pole. Do I have to grind the bottom of my RN pole in order for the pin to line up, or should I just keep grinding away at my bracket? Thanks brotha
