Hooker pitches for strokers

What are you guys with strokers running for freeride(low end) set ups with the hooker?

I just removed a 13/17 concord that had been tweaked to add a little pitch. My motor was slipping this thing pretty bad on the bottom. Went with a 14/19 hooker, but its too steep for my setup. Dave is gonna swap it out for me, but I am unsure how much lower to go.

What are you guys running?

This is a 5 mil, Billet cylinder (Able), dual 48 full spec, MSD TL, flatwater boat. Want low end and hook up for backies and rolls...:Banane09:

Any similar setups and advice?

13/18 hooker slipped on my 8mil 870 thrust innovations stroker... it did hit like a sob though when it didnt cut loose... would be a hell of a prop for a lesser motor... have it for sale right now actually...

I was wondering how that 13/18 would work on the SS865. I see guys looking for 13/18 swirls so it must be in the ballpark.

Still Fat....
I'm running the 9-15 on my setup now, and have also ran the 10-16 hooker prop as well as various 13x concord props made by Dave. each one of these had different tweaks to them, with the exception of the 9-15 (currently running an out of the box setup and so far not bad)
I have to say, i don't exhibit spinning issues with 9-15 i have now and really love the "pop" it has. i am also VERY easy rolling into the throttle, i don't WHACK it open, so maybe thats why it fits my riding style
of course i have alot of things done to my ski (hull extenders, pump work, nozzle, Lamey cylinder etc)

i'm not say it wont spin, it probably does and i don't realize it, but for my riding style i really like it.

Make sure that you don't have any other issues causing the cavitation like a bad intermediate housing or a worn out seal ring on the pump.

No issues, just power..................runs well but pump could be working better with the right prop

With the 14/19 there is 0 slip, but its lazy.............

Buy the 13/18 hooker... $200 shipped = $90 less than impros shipped.... still brand new condition... if it doest do what you want it to just sell it to someone else for $200... I tried 4 props on my ski before I got the right one... sucked... but totally worth it. Slippage sucked balls...

diff deal with mag pumps^ I like my 10/16 on a 5 mill big bore. wonder how many horsepower it takes to slip a hooker? Its faster than ill ever use and not slipping, makes me wonder what a 9/15 would of done for low end with this setup

On that note... I think I read that Gil is running a 9/15 with a 5 mil stroker and total loss. I need to confirm that with him one day because if that's true, I'm sending mine to impros this winter to get the pitch lowered.

no way 9/15 is going to be any good on a good stroker lol... go ahead and buy one though... maybe if you reduce the nozzle to 40mm it will keep the pump loaded

no I mean 40mm... was joking... a 9/15 is good for a limited setup... how the hell is it going to work with a stroker with tl... no way its going to keep the pump loaded... I guess you could try it with a stock bore but I dont think that would be small enough... I was being overdramatic... personally I think it would not be very efficient...
