umm the ski is not as buoyant and it goes under easier, my ski barely floats with all the foam out, with a full tank just sitting in the water the nose of the ski is almost under water,

Sounds like your ski is certainly sitting lower than normal, but taking the foam out is not the reason why. That is a very common misconception. Actually, taking the foam out will make your ski float a very, very small amount higher given there isn't a bunch of water in your hull. A buoyant force is produced by displacing water. In this situation, the foam in your hull isn't displacing any water, the hull is.

Interesting that you thought it changed the handling too. Did you change anything else at the same time?

it doesn't work that way. the foam only does anything once your ski is sunk. It does nothing for the buoyancy the rest of the time.

well either way man it does nto float as good and it is not as buoyant as it used to be, it is much easier to sub it and what not. i dont care if it does not work that way im just telling ya thats how it worked out for me, my old one had all the foam in it and you had to work at it to turn sub it and just get it under period,
now this one i can just turn it and stab the throttle and i can get the whole thing under water with out even trying, i can just lean forward stab the throttle and it goes right under, so i know its less buoyant period

You should be very careful doing subs without foam. You could easily sink it if your motor stalled out and you sucked in alot of water.

The end goal that all these questions were based around was a bit vague (IMO) and godocgo's answer was very specific to a certain type of boat but he didn't come out and say it. So I did. Not correcting, just clarifying.

Sorry I left a lil bit of confusion but this boat will just be a freeride flat water ski. There is no sport for this around here, just a bunch of couchers doing 180's by the launch ramps;} and Im sure with the set up I have, my wife will be more than pleased with the performance of the ski. I was just tryn to make sure I was going in the right direction cuz this will be be the first B1 that Iv beefed up.
But thank you all for your input. I did not think I would get this kinda response.
Be looking for my build thread in the next few days and throw your 2 cents in while your there.
