Idk about his ski, but mine has a kill switch. As soon as the cable snapped, I would have pressed the stop button or pulled the lanyard, that's just me tho.

I guess you have never ridden a Race Prepped Runabout before... At 70mph even hitting the stop or pulling the lanyard the ski covers a lot of ground in just a short time span. Would not matter if he pulled the lanyard, Jeremy did the only thing he had an option for. Bail. Ask your buddy Gil what happens when an STX1200 steering cable breaks in a race, he was right in front.

Man looses arm in in a battle with a tree and almost dies. Well ok I tripped while taking the trash out and got a splinter in my elbow.

Dude if you want to be a true hero in our sport It may be time for you to pass on the right message and start wearing a helmet and life vest........Just sayin.

I agree, or he must want his site to be the "National Enquirer" of the jetski world.

That was one of the scariest things I have ever seen first hand! The cause is another entire story, the end result is yet another entire story, but seeing that crash live and in person sucked azz!

Cause = Broken Steering Cable (It was Aftermarket - Skat/UMI/?) . Anything else is totally irrelevant. (But I know what your referring to).

I promise to keep my de-rail short, lol

The thing that pissed me off the most was the fact that the crash ruined one of my favorite venues!!! Tupelo was close to the house, pits kept us all close enough for good times and shenanigans, and there was a Olive Garden down the street. LOL

Yup, but you saw first hand that when you loose steerage, sometimes there just is no time to be had....... Your along for the ride. Pulling the lanyard or hitting the stop button is all but useless.... That is like you believing that when you get a Lamey you will start doing rolls and flips............. LOL
