I am not interested in driving straight through to Daytona so we are getting a room somewhere around Nashville area. I am very unfamiliar with the area and don't want to end up in a bad part of town. What is a good area to stay in where I can get a cheap hotel off of HWY24 south of the Nashville/Kentucky border (like Clarksville area maybe?)?

real men drive straight through... I will probably pick your cart up Friday AM on my way over.
We went straight through to Surfside, TX and it sucked! I have the time and want this trip to be enjoyable, breaking it up and sleeping in a bed is real nice.

I would say as your coming into Nashville there will be alot of hotels near the bigger exits. I am talking way on the outskirts of town. You should be good there.

Dang, early birds. I live in Smyrna, just south east of nashville on I24 and there are some nice places there and in Murfreesboro. Anything between Nash and Smyrna will be risky. If ya want a place to put the trlr you can set it at myplace but the hotels in Smyrna will prolly be plenty safe. there is a Hampton, Hilton, Days Inn I think too at exit 66 on I 24.
Gotta have time to put my ski together
We are probably looking at the NW side of Nashville, put us at about 14 hours of driving and do the other 10 on Tuesday.

dunno much about that side of town but PM Jawbreaker he lives near there and I think his place is EMPTY since he has all but moved in with his girl. If ya all are up for an early start we can hit up downtown NashVegas for a minute.

just a thought ...... I use the hotels that support the sport whenever I can . there are a couple listed for the nationals near nashville shores. check the apba site for those hotels
