coming from a guy who rides on a lake that statement means nothing. Launch yourself off a big ocean wave and get the ski in a bad position, and you have to kick it away every now and then. Hell sometimes the wave will rip you off the ski.

Those B2's loose the seat and break the latch very easily, it is a weak design and they tend to land tail first a lot which will rip the latch off.

I have seen that view myself in Daytona ... I was 6 inches from grabbing the ski as I reached for it and it might as well been 100 ft it, didn't matter,I gave it all I had to get there cause I knew a big one was at my heels , I was just too late . a nice 5 -6fter launched the ski at a 45 degree angle to the beach and it surfed for at least 100-150 yards , I just kept swimmin an swimmin and finally got picked up by a Canook that saved my arse , and yup even the best riders ditch there ski if they are going to land bad ... a big impact can fuc$ you up ! But I did like the video !

Holy crap! If you were out by yourself in Corsons thats probably the last time you make that mistake....lol The wrong tide and no one will ever see you again! Surf looked amazing though...wow.

How did it end?

sometimes a throw away will save a leg.

It appears like the ski took off real quick when the white wash came through and it remained right side up?

A couple words of advice would be swim quicker & foot straps.

Thanks for all the comments, I've been working on my editing skills with Quicktime so the video doesn't show what happened next, basically a couple minute swim back to the ski which had been pushed by the last wave in toward shore.

Couldn't start the ski as it had sucked water in the carbs so I caught a tow back to shore....I was alone when I got swamped, but not for long as there were about 10 other guys out there....Corson's is a popular spot when Hurricanes are offshore :veryhappy:
