How Bad is this?

Hey Friends,

I have a blaster with a riva engine, etc.

Had it rebuilt and ran like 5 tanks of gas thru it. Started very hard from a cold start but ripped once warm.

Yesterday was out shreding for hours. Spark plug wire came loose in the middle of the lake -- I went to shore and ski smoking and no power. 20200718_192954.jpg

There is metal shavings on the head and I seen this crack in the engine head.

How bad is this? What am I looking at here to fix?

Also not sure if relevant but last guy to work on it put in champion plugs.

I always used ngk in the past. Not sure if this effected it I'm not a mechanic just a shredder.

Hopefully just broke an exhaust mount? Your about to become more of a mechanic than you'd like.

Post a better picture of your engine. Compression test before you do anything.

thanks so much for the reply. Would that explain the loss of power from the cracks?

heres a full shot of the engine

Thats an odd looking head, never seen anyting liek that before...Id check compression first, if thats good than try a new set of NGK plugs, than if that doesnt work start working through other possibiites, coil, cdi, carbs, tank vent, etc
