How can you tell that if a B Pipe is for a 1996-2020 SJ700 Super Jet and not the 1993-1995 Super Jet?

Apparently the Factory B Pipe is different for the 61x single carb Super Jet and for the 62T dual carb Super Jet.

94 and Up SJ had 701's. The Pipes are the same. As mark mentioned, the 650 chamber is swoopy looking......... So, 94-2020 are the same. Other than Limited or Mod Chamber. Early Mod chambers and a weld mark half way down, this is where the used Limited Stampings, and just cut and welded to get a Mod. Later them made stamping molds for the Mod version.

The b pipe "kit" part number from factory pipe is different for a square nose 701 than a round nose because the square nose used the stock chamber to water box hose cut to fit where the round nose 'kit' included a silicone elbow that adapts the smaller sized stinger outlet to the larger water box inlet. The parts we care about are all the same otherwise.

There was a different chamber and exhaust manifold for the 650. Chamber was kinda smaller and smoother like Fairlane said and the exhaust port shape is more square on the 650.

Also at some point in the past they changed the size of the hole at the top of the exhaust manifold. Some really old manifold/headers were smaller diameter there 44mm ish. The old ones can be opened up but it's something you watch for.

E350 - I posted pics of Mod, 650, and Limited chambers here:

Storbeck is correct on the manifold opening, All my older manifolds and headpipes had very small openings, one was like 42.7mm. Had them all opened up to 48mm with no issues.
