How do these plugs look?

So I rode yesterday for a full day, plugs were replaced before running. The ski seemed to run great, but after checking the plugs today it seems it may be a bit rich, and the rear cylinder has a strange coloring. The ski is a blue/jetmaniac ported 735, ADA w/ 35cc domes, b pipe, lightened flywheel and stock 44mm carb. Jetting is 120 low, 147.5 high, rebuild 1/4 the way through last season with new needle and seat as well. What do y'all think? Measured the gap and they both were at .030 and they are br8es. I never run the ski WOT and am mainly the short blip of the throttle rider which I have read can cause rich reading, but what do y'all think? The one on the left is the rear cylinder.

To check plugs you want to go WOT then kill the engine to check them. When you idle it is going to make them look rich.

Yeah, looking down through the plug holes it looks to be rich as well but for the past 1.5 months the water was also cold and my ski even with restrictors didn't get very warm as the cylinders each have a pisser as well. Yesterday was the first time the exit water felt as it was even in the 90-100 range. And that the pipe was warming nicely up as well since it also has it's own independent cooling line. How many times can the ADA heads be removed and the o-rings be reused? First ski with this type of head?

Until they break. That is the benefit of having orings vs a gasket. =)

Why can't you run your ski WOT?

It's not a can't run, it's a hesitant to...one because it is hard to do it on the lake I ride, and because it makes me uncomfortable just because I'm not confident in my jetting and don't wanna burn anything up..never had a problem and I've had it WOT a few times just testing it out but never for extended periods of time

I haven't pulled my plugs in a bit, but last season I did the same head/dome setup with a b pipe and rejetted my 701 dual carb, and my rear plug looked the same. Half dark half light.. I run my ski on the rich side.. I should check it again, but it tripped me out for awhile and then I forgot about it. I had a buddy who had his 750 motor built by a shop and his rear looked the same. They went through it again and said all was fine.. I have read too that if its on the exhaust side its hotter so its burning leaner on that half of the plug? idk.. im going to go check mine now.. will report back

Edit: Checked mine after a solid season and a couple rides this year, looks like an even burn all the way around. Dark since she is a bit rich, I need to lean it down a hair but the half burn is gone. I should put new plugs in too lol.

Yeah my ski seems to run fine, no bogging or anything..I'm just always thinking whether something could be better or if it could be improved at all..right now I'm pretty happy with it though..next stop is either a carb or perhaps an epic/msd enhancer..not sure

I have the same exact setup as you. I had a 125 low and switched to a 120 the other day. With the 147.5 main i was running WOT 5-10 seconds a straight away in the glassy reed track. Everything seemed good. Make sure your cooling lines and pipe/temp are set up proper. I have also been hesitant like you running WOT on this motor.

Yeah I have definitely run the ski for that period of time. My thing is more of a can I gain performance and more snap if it was running rich..id rather rich over lean any day, but if it can be leaned out for a gain I'm all for it..
