Beach cart hitch hauler combo. Slide the cart onto the hauler, remove the axle and store on the cart above the tray. Never have to lift the ski or cart.

@Gliderskier can you post some pics of your setup with no ski on it?

Alright, so my wife bought me a jet lift cart for Xmas and it's great for the beach events. I also like to use it at the local ramp to move my ski from they hitch hauler to the ramp. Problem is that my truck sits pretty high and that cart isn't light. So, I either slide the ski off onto a stand so I can pull the cart out of the back, or have to get a friend to help lift the cart out. Obviously can't drop the tailgate with the ski on the hauler. Has anyone gotten creative and found a way to haul their jet lift cart on their hitch hauler?

The tail gate on my silverado comes off very easy. Could you remove the tail gate, then cover the ski with a moving blanket, then lift it over.

I'm not fond of rolling it down the side of the bed either. Moving blankets do a very good job though. Perhaps you could double up moving blankets and go over the side safely?

Or I can take 2 pins out and put it in pieces so it's easy to lift out. I did that while driving to California so the ski was in the back of the truck with the beachcart instead of on my hauler for 7k miles

I've gotten pretty used to just lifting it into my truck. When I'm home I put the ski on my other cart so I can load the jet lift first. Then at the ramp I usually just ask a buddy to help to make sure I don't scratch my truck.
