I really do see some major speed and memory useage improvements now that I have been using firefox 3 for a while. I like it much more now that most of my extensions are working.
It seems crisp as far as page loading. I can't say the memory footprint is any smaller. I have a FF2.0 and a FF3.0 side by side on two different PC's with the same tabs open (though they have been navigated differently). The 2.0 is at 154MB and the 3.0 is at 189MB., and the 2.0 has more add-ons all of which are actually working.
There are some subtle improvements, like the address bar changing colors depending on security state, and the new fullscreen auto-hide is nice (especially for google maps).
FF3 seems to take longer to launch. Like 750sx I don't care for the bells and whistles. I thought that was the idea behind firefox... less BS (unlike the old mozilla/netscape).
Hell, even the installer is bigger. Only by 2meg but still...
