How long can non ethanol gas sit in carbs?

It's quite common in states with cold Winters for a boat to sit 6-9 months through winter and have no problems. It's a good idea to use fuel stabilizer and fogging oil but lots of people don't and get away with it. Much longer than that and I'd call it dicey. Not so much that there would be damage, just might need cleaning. Also when stuff sits that long it's common to find furry critters making nests in airbox or exhaust.

Non-ethanol is usually quite safe for long periods and doesn't chew up carb internals. I'd say you're probably fine for at least a year if not longer. The issue with fuel sitting is in losing the light ends of the octane molecule, so you'll need fresh gas if it's really old. Non-ethanol gas stores rather well if kept in a cool, dark environment.

Fuel with ethanol is almost universally where people have issues with storage or letting it sit in carbs.
