Want that tank to blow up? Hmm, 1 gallon of gas in the tank, and a ping pong ball filled with crystal Drain-o (cut a hole- fill with crystals- tape hole shut with electrical tape). drop the ball in the tank, and stand back, WAY BACK. You have 10-20min for the tape to let go, and BOOM!!!

just wondering... like say 20-30 litres of premixed gas poured over it.. how long would it take to burn?

just wondering if the fire fighters would respond to the call before its completely destroyed.....
Where's "Wolf Child" when you need him....this is his moment!.....

If you really want your ski to suffer; a longer, more agonizing death is a "part-out".

Just a thought..

Did the ski in question disappoint you somehow?

yes..... it did....

problem started last weekend...

so hit the start button and you can hear the bendix spinning away...

suspected bad bendix.... possible bad battery

fitted new bendix and battery last night.. same problem....

maybe the relay.. swapped it out.. still not firing.. take the plugs out and it will turn over no issue...

checked the ground.. all good

so starter.... new starter... same issue :261:

just happened to have the coupler cover off (in a REV hull its easier to get the battery in and out)... suddenly noticed the coupler doesnt appear to be spinning... sort of rocking back and forward fast... so it looks like its spinning .. again :261: something is spinning....

so for the five millionth time .. tank out.... flywheel cover off... crank it over and watch the bendix... spinning like a whore on crack.... can also see the gears on the flywheel spinning away...

then notice the flywheel isnt.... freaking ring gear is spinning on the flywheel (MSD Lightened flywheel)

:slap:

all the $$ spent on everything that wasnt the issue could have paid for a new flywheel

two weeks before Virginia beach and im left with 4 options

1. Stock Flywheel..... :fart:
2. Total Loss.....

3. Take my chances on a flea bay lightened flywheel deal :fart:
4. Brand new TBM.... $600 plus roll the dice on it getting the Canada before we leave......

Could easily pin or mechanically affix the ring gear to the flywheel

Take the flywheel to a machinist with a dividing head. If drilled and pinned properly the balance will be extremely close.
