but you have already in the last few post! If he had called and said" hey, can you hook me up on a new hull because of my lost, then I would of gladly done so...but instead, his idea of getting me to do something about it was to go out of his way and pay to get a custom waterlogged factory sticker on his hood...WTF kinda childish crap is that??

You act as if I got the sticker AFTER it sank. I got the sticker BEFORE it sank---AS A FRIGGIN' JOKE!!!!!!! I was honestly planning on riding it for this season and tearing it down around December to fix the friggin' hull issues.

How many times have me, you, Penquin, SFL, Rickster, SuperJett, Paul, PanCake, Yamaslut, and whoever else showed up at Daytona, Lanier, Navarre, or Havasu and there NOT be some ball bustin' going on?!??!?!?! Remember when, "Steve's Boat Runs!!!" was the only thing you could hear when Jeremy was on Bogey's ski?!? You did that because Parr declined your hull that I paid for and then declined your personal ski for the Finals because the footholds were cracked!!! Don't go there, bro... And I didn't get a refund until six months or more later at Daytona and I was given three percent less because of CC fees...WTF indeed!!!!!!!

So here we are going nowhere. I'm going to do what you think is right in this case:

Steve, send me another hull, please? I lost mine to Mother Nature. I won't ever bash your products, again.

P.S. Can I PLEASE assemble it? I'll even meet you halfway to pick up the hull, topdeck, chinpad, coupler cover, footholds, handholds, liner, rideplate, and hood. I still have my nosepiece because it wasn't installed when the ski sank.

P.P.S. Parr was nosing them in the day before on the ski he WANTED to ride that year.

Not that it's really relative, but I refer to Paul as Big Daddy Dyno alot and everyone thinks it is hilarious except Paul. I have talked to Paul about his nickname and he gets really hot really quick. I figure it's the passion these guys have that gets their panties in a wad pretty easily. Hell my panties get wadded up in 2 seconds flat. LOL

that joke wasn't funny whatsover...except the people it didn't affect

FYI, That chant at WF wasn't started by me, but by a guy name Vince in the bleachers . I was extremely embarassed by it too.
I really don't blame Jeremy for wanting to compete on a 1000cc carbon hull instead of a 840cc heavy glass boat , but for the record, I did go out of my way (yes I drove 8 hours to x-metal and back ) to give, free of charge, my hull for jeremy to use and compete on at WF. I also sold/sponsor a hull at 1/2 price to him to "help" him out in pro freestyle, but I guess those Nasa engineers are very picky!! Now, how many hull builders would give a full refund on a hull after taking possession?? none!...instead they turn up very quickly in the for sale section !!

STFU, Geverson!!!!

I still wish I had the OEM Wamilton's and the Lightweight Wamilton's in my collection. And I liked the way the WCF Hull handled, but I could never get over the fact that I spent so much $$$ and lost friendships over a frikkin' ski---and then this happens. You're right---If I was going to get another AM ski, I should have stuck with what I knew. If you sold me your Wammer that would be "batche'"

1. The joke was funny, Steve---just not to YOU---the only one it MIGHT remotely affect.

2. Isn't Vince your friend? Or just a guy in the bleachers?

3. I don't blame Jeremy for wanting to compete on that ski, either.

4. Well done for going out of your way. If you were smart, you took the family to Busch Gardens and wrote a good portion of this trip off.

5. You sold the hull to me, Steve, not Jeremy. Jeremy was going to ride it for WCF and Royal Flush. I remember the details clearly.

6. NASA engineers are indeed picky. It's how they do what they do. Otherwise they would build jet ski hulls.

7. No-one took possesion of the hull at Alatoona. It came on your trailer and left on your trailer after that picky NASA employee refused it. Get your facts straight, sir.

8. Good night, sir. I'm going to grab a bite to eat and possibly a few drinks. Talk to you later.....

i remember the 1st time i saw this ski , i was blown away ! , i thought it was amazing! i was so jeolous .i wanted one
then @ the chicken bone i saw the gel coat and really was glad i didnt have the $ to buy wcf hull
now im on the out side here and im just saying
i have herd peeps having trouble with the wdk hull and jeff made it right
either send it back and get a new hull.... not a option here but a discount????

About all the "joking" around ...

I'd be pretty pissed off too if someone thought it was a good idea to joke around with my business, especially in a field as small as this one. There might be a total of 10,000 people in the world who would even consider buying an aftermarket freeride hull, if that.

Now let's say that you've been around 200 people in that market, well, that's 2% of the potential buyers out there, or 1 out of every 50 potential customers. I'm not sure how many hulls each builder produces a year, but let's say maybe 25, give or take? If only one potential customer a year doesn't buy a one of my products, because of someone else's joke, and I'm out 4% of my revenue for the year ... like I said, I'd be pissed off too.

For some businesses, 4% is make or break ...

That said, on the builder side, you'd think that in a field this small, the builders would be bending over backwards, or really going over every little detail just because of this reason.

Let me give you an example.

I've been selling stuff online for over 12 years now, and in all that time I've had a great reputation. One moron posts something negative about me, and now every time someone requests a refund for one of my products, they say they searched online, and found bad stuff about me.

Yeah, one thing in 12 years ... but, it doesn't matter to the customer. As far as they're concerned, they just got the backup they were looking for.

It only takes on pissed off customer to cause a lot of problems for a business...

Well for the original question, I sunk an X2 to the bottom... in 6' of water in 1996. Recovered it @ low tide same day with a scuba lift bag. REALLY sucks the ski sank, but atleast you got to ride it. My 24/7 lightweight x2 broke a 7" crack its 6th time out....and we all know what happened to the other one. Something to be said for alot of "lighweight" hulls, there is a reason I am back on an OEM SJ....lol

So your saying" it's a wonderful thing to take it up the wazoo" even if somebody ridiculing your business with degrating decals!

going out on a limb but im assuming he didn't have that sticker from day one... taking it up the wazoo to begin with could have prevented it?

I have no bias to anyone in this thread because I am new here but after reading it you kinda come off as unprofessional and childish...just saying from an outside view.

so what this thread is saying that if someone sinks a 3 year old hull, its the fault of the builder, not the rider??

this is what I'm getting here from this entire thread...this is like a congressional hearing...people need to vent to get their angers out

no i'm pretty sure what this thread is getting at is that MAYBE....JUST MAYBE....the hull builder should have swallowed his pride, and fixed the inferior product he built in the first place, when the issue first came around. back when the hull was only but a couple months old. then the purchaser would have most likely still had his hull 3 years later, cause the back corner of the tray would have been bobbing just out of the water....instead the hull builder wants to cry out his vagina about a funny decal the unsatisfied purchaser put on the ski he paid top dollar for and got taken to the cleaners cause from day one it was of sub par quality to what was originally ordered and paid for.
