I read somewhere that the 08+ sj prop was essentially the same as a hooker 9/15, but maybe I'm mistaken. Appreciate the info.
Yes 08+ props are large hub props and work very well.

They are?????? I agree, they work well. Just dont remember them being C75 sized, makes no sense if the pump hub is smaller.
For some reason, people like to pay more for stuff thats in really bad shape.
I can't confirm if they are c75 sized but they are definitely bigger then a small hub prop. A larger hub prop on a small hub stator is still a big improvement in hook up
The large hub prevents water from reversing direction and getting under the blades near the center. Adding a larger bearing section behind the impeller prevents any air pocket from forming in this area of higher pressure/slower moving water. This is the reason white water affects small hub impellers/pumps more.

Another big difference between mag pump and stock pumps is the ability of mag pumps to reprime and make power super fast, while stock pumps there is a lag every time you hit the water.
So skipping across choppy water is much better with a mag. Also when landing a trick, the mag is loaded much faster to ride out or for next trick.
