Blaster How much paint required for Blaster?

Ordering paint for a 94' WaveBlaster. Only doing the top deck (all the purple/black) and the sides. Leaving bottom, rear, and tunnel OEM white.

Its purple and painting it blue with a spray gun.

I did a 91 SN with Shopline JAU top deck and some various parts with a quart of base and a quart of clear, Properly reduced, will yield two quarts for both base and clear. I got to spray on about 3 coats of base and clear as well.

I would say if you can get little more than a quart like a quart and a half or even just 40oz for both base and top coat, that would be perfect since you will be using a primer or a sealer.

I agree with arsenal, it really depends on the mix ratios for each component and what quantities your supplier sells. If it's 4:1 primer or clear for example, a gallon may be a wise choice. Better to have extra than run out.

It’s base silver. 1qt with reducer equals 40oz
It’s blue candy. 1qt with reducer eqUals 40oz

Then clear could be 3-4 quarts. It mixes 4/1/1

I used Single Stage and a Quart was enought for a Superjet minus the underside.

If you have the choice between sealer and primer, I would say sealer since you don't have to sand it before the first base coat.

If you have time to prime it and fully block it down the result will be a lot more slick. If the existing surface is really good just sealer will look awesome. Or use both
