Here is the JetDynamics plate cut. I was gonna round the edges but ran out of time one weekend. So I put it on to ride and it worked great, no need to mess with it. I cut to the second indentation and cut only the concave area out. As you can see by pic 3, this is a thick plate.

No doubt man!! I think I'll look for an old 95 plate and just put 2 more inserts in my hull.

That way when I lose 2 I'll still have 4:biggrin:

LBE watch your legs on that thing looks like a dagger. I ended up with a hole in my knee from an uncut groovy plate on my fx1 can only imagine how that thing would tear you open.

OK. I'm about to cut one of my stock JD concave. Dremel or rotozip? Carbide 1/8" endmill?

Does it cut and grind easily?

i used a coffee can for 1/2 circle. and drilled small holes on the inside of line .used drill bit to bore out holes after the cut with drill bit used 41/2 inch grinder to smooth out.

i have been toying with the idea of cutting the d cut into my stock SJ rideplate, but tell me if this has any benefit on flatwater ? (i heard it was to assist in shredding surf waves) i ride mainly flatwater with the odd trip to the coast ?

thanks
