It's a personal preference thing. Can't really calculate that.

I'm 6'1, 180 pounds and going with a -4 and a shortened turnplate. But I'm running a SN with a Hazard bracket.

I have no idea on what I'm doing, it's just a shot in the dark.

im 5'11'' 170 and i got -4 pole and -1 turnplate with straight bars. seems almost perfect.
ive never seen a calculation or formula for it tho.

It also depends on your arm length. Im 6' 1" and have pretty long arms and go with -7.5" with a OEM RN stock pole using Xmetal short plate and straight bars.

You just have to experiment. Cut 3" and go from there. You can always go more if needed.
