How to make foot hold smaller

I'm new to freestyle.
It's kind of a stupid question but,
I bought a Brawler last summer and it's awesome! But the foot holds are huge! I wear 10.5 shoe size.
What's the easiest way to make the footholds smaller other than cutting it out and replacing it with a smaller foothold?
I was thinking of just adding more padding under the turf?

No need. Rough the turf up good, Add more padding over the turf and then turf over the extra padding.

I added extra padding under the turf on the bottom the last time I did it but still wasn't enough I did exactly what @Roseand said on the top of the holds added another layer of padding then turned over it not a great pic but you can see the black turf where I did it
