you can save the gif then upload the image. Not sure if there is another way within the site.

upload it to imgur.com (just drag and drop it on the website) then post it here.

right click on the above gif, go to properties and there is the URL
select the URL and copy it to clipboard
start a new post, click the insert picture and paste the URL.

My version,

Google Image Search "Funny GIF"
Click on the one you want and it will open it enough to allow it to play.
Right Click
Find & Click "COPY IMAGE LOCATION"
Then come back to your post.
Click the little button on the post tool bar that looks like a photo.
Right click paste

Basically, you want the address of the gif that ends in .gif and you want to paste into the pop up on the picture. All that button does is put IMG brackets around the photo.

(IMG) funny.gif (/ IMG) Like that, but brackets instead of Parentheses.

I usually just type it out the IMG code.

BTW, this is the first gif that came up.
