how to u put on your b pipe?

ok so im just wonderiong whats the easiest way to get your b pipe on.

do u clamp the coupler on the chamber first then on the head pipe?

or do you clamp it on the head pipe then clamp on the chamber?

just wondering because i struggle at times getting this damn thing on!

if the headpipe is bolted down, i just put the coupler on the headpipe, and slip the chamber in. its easier is the headpipe isnt bolted down, you can connect chamber/header then bolt it on.

put chamber in waterbox coupler

with the headpipe loose ( not bolted to mani) put chamber on hp

align everything and tighten it up

ok cool, yeah now that my dumb a$$ thinks about it it would seem ALOT easier to have the head pipe unbolted.

i guess i was just too lazy to unbolt it.

sometimes its easier, other times it doesnt matter......depends on how old or stretched out the coupler is

Yeah the new one will really kick your butt.
I had to boil my new one then grab it with tongs and run it out to the vice to stretch it out.

Get a buddy to help, and a hose tool. Works great! I like to have the hp bolted up with the coupler on the hp.

If you are doing it alone, then mount the chamber to the waterbox and put the headpipe on the chamber, then tighten the headpidpe down.

Here's what always works for me:

1. Coupler on the chamber
2. Put the stinger into the waterbox hose (don't tighten the clamp yet)
3. Slide headpipe onto chamber coupler
4. Bolt down the headpipe
5. Check that the chamber is rotated where you want it.
6. Tighten hoseclamps on coupler and waterbox hose.

Use a flat head to pry the thing on, makes it twice as easy.

once out of the box ,put the headpipe and the stinger with soapy water into the rubber coupler overnight and let them sit ....it will be easy...

i have never had a problem doing this and have done it in various ways, usually the chamber's stinger in the waterbox first. now my old 750sxi wetpipe i could swear at all afternoon and still not get it together, just sore elbows from trying too hard.

having taken mine out a number of times in the recent past....

to put it back in.... i first feed into the waterbox hose, the into to head pipe coupler... bolt down the head pipe... easy

I did mine last week, though it was all new not just the coupler. You bought yours new last summer how the hell did you kill it in 2 seasons (maybe 3 at the most if I am off by a season...)
