I'm still going to be making these timing tapes just need to find some spare time.

I've already purchased the material and a nice plotter/printer for vinyl graphics just need to figure out how to get the damn thing to work.

Anybody know anything about plotters and sign software?

You need a special bendix holder or part of a timing cover to check the timing on the flywheels side in addition to the timing marks.

ollie does vinyl graphics. you could pm him, I think he gets email alerts with PM's.

I would definitely be checking both cylinders when setting timing.

One of my brand new pickups was bad, it would fire 4-1/2* - 5* before the other. MSD sent me a replacement. After testing all three, one would fire at the 35* mark, the other two at 30*.

#.0 the taped on degree marking idea is a good one. I drilled two dimples at 30* BTDC so I could check timing easily if someting was acting up.

I PMed Ollie a while back and just never got around to making these timing tapes.

Here are the cylinder height specifications for a stock 68mm stroke crank in case you would like to mark your coupler or flywheel using the dial indicator method.

TDC = 0.0000
5-Degrees = 0.0045"
10-Degrees = 0.026"
15-Degrees = 0.059"
20-Degrees = 0.106"
25-Degrees = 0.164"
30-Degrees = 0.230"
35-Degrees = 0.306"
40-Degrees = 0.391"
