Custom/Hybrid How well do resonators work

I'm looking for ways to quiet my ski down the current setup is in a q8 and with using a Yamaha motor the nattery box behind the motor doesn't fit when using a powerfactor pipe. I have room for a resonator to go in line behind the carbs but do they even work or is it a waste of time

resonator definitively wont quite your ski any, will make it louder, also the down side is if you don't pay attention while moving the ski around water will run back to your engine

Resonator in addtion to a waterbox or just a resonator by itself?

I have one, and it has a port for water injection, like a on a stinger. I've been told thats the key to make it less loud.
Never got around to using the one I have, but in theroy.... :dunno:

The right design of resonator will help, but the only one I feel that works well is an old Jetcraft with a spiral louvered core. Good luck finding one though, maybe some of the 440/550 guys have one.
