Other HP difference between 61x vs 62t

Hey guys was wondering if there was a power difference between a 61x/61x DUAL carb motor Vs. 62t/61x Dual carb motor?

I read that the 62t bottom end puts out 10hp more but is that cause of the cases or the dual carbs?

Im pretty sure that is because the case and the reed valve size, take a look at the size difference off the cage.

The 62t power curve is not only higher but smoother as well. My bolt-on-built 61x is like a light switch - hit a certain rpm and the power comes on all at once. Very annoying.

The OP is talking about cases, not cylinders.

Thats what I was referring to. 61x/61x with bolt ons.

Edit: I guess i shouldn't say the power curve is higher, but the power output is higher and the curve is smoother with 62t cases.

the smoothness doesnt bother me. just trying to see if its worth the extra effort to switch over to a 62t case. But its looks like by design the 62t flows better which explains the 10hp difference. Correct me if im wrong?

Yes its worth it. its not about what they make now but the power potential of the 62t cases versus the 61x
