ht padding

Hydro-Turf appologizes for any inconsistancy in it's underpad pricing. We just updated our pricing and web site with underpad information earlier this week. Any customers that have concerns about their underpad orders can call and speak with Mike at (714)635-6350.

The underpad you want and that HT uses is Minicell. It's made by Voltec and can be found at most foam suppliers and cut to any thickness desired.

Charles

good info to know thanks.

btw, no disrespecting meant towards hydroturf products, they're great. just disappointed that the order was dropped and they didn't seem to care.

oh well, let bygones be bygones, my padding is on its way.

edit: posted at the same time as above post... i got a tracking number so i should be fine.

Walmart has rubber kitchen mats that are closed cell foam they are about a 1/2" thick and last for years. I think they are like 5-7 bucks. I have used these on many skis.

oh well. I did get it a couple days later so I'm not complaining.

The HT underpadding is worth every penny IMO .
I have it on both my boats and love it and it helps a ton on big impacts from launching .
I doubt any HD or Lowes stuff would hold up as good and I bet it absorbs water too

Do the uncut sheets of turf have the logo? I can't rememeber seeing any custom jobs with the logo, especially diamond molded.

The HT site shows the SuperJet Freestyle kit w/out Blowsion Footholds in diamond, with HT logo but the description says molded or cut groove.

I have to say that my ski is Hydro-turf and I specifically ordered it with no logo, because they always come out on me. Are the logo's still a seperate cut peice thats put in? Or is it dyed or something now, I havent a clue these days.
Even before i had footholds i ordered with no mat log and no side logos. Now I just order sheets and cut it myself.

As Crammit said... HT doesn't make that stuff, Voltec (and others) make it and the stuff I posted is the same thing, but cheaper.

Not dogging on HT, as I do use their turf, but this is America and we are known for being cheap bastards, so I do my best to live up to that and shop around.

The gray minicell foam sold by kayak retailers comes from a variety of sources, and does vary in quality.

If you have a source and can test it out, let us know.
