Freestyle HUGE thanks to the X

My home away from home.
B3IS and I were talking today about how thankful we are to be members here on the X. And how much it has helped us progress in our sport / hobby.

For me it started a few yrs ago, when a member on another site noticed I was looking at freestyle in general, along with looking for a SJ. He sent me a pm and told me to come over here and take a look. I really wish I could remember who it was, so I could buy him a sh!tload of beers.

After a couple weeks I picked up a ski from a member and it progressed from there. And still is lol!

If I didn't make it here, there's no way I would be as good of a rider, attained the knowledge that I now have on building, or got the opportunity to meet and become friends with some of the greatest people in the world. 3 yrs ago, I could barely ride in mild choppy water, and this year I rode away from my first flip! (the boat wake helped a bit)

Like stated in the title. Thanks to everybody here on the X. All the Mods, the vendors, the manufacturers, the crusty members and the cool members. I've learned something from all of you, so thanks.

There is a lot of stupid crap on the internet, and then there is some great stuff. A properly setup and run forum like this one is definitely part of the great!

Did someone say something about beer?

Yep great talk Jay. Having this site as resource has really given me alot of opportunities to make myself better in many ways. Build a new ski a new crew and hanging out with the best riders in the WORLD not a bad way to spend some free time.

Yep, I remember the day it went online. The stand-up community has BLOWN up since the X started. We went from 3 freerides to over a dozen and they are all 3 times as big as they used to be. Our crew in Cleveland grew from 5 riders to a high of 23 (we lost a couple), but that happens. We now ride regularly with people who live up to 100 miles away, they just show up at the ramps.

The knowledge from this site has kept me in the sport. I would have gone broke if I didn't learn to fix it myself and find parts on here.

Thanks to Darin, Paul and Kahuna for starting the whole thing...would love to see you guys at Daytona. (My ski is open to you anytime)

In the past couple of years my knowledge of what is going on in the Jet ski industry has quadrupled. When I talk to some of the guys on my crew they are in the dark about soo many things that I have learned about on the X. It is funny having the diagnosis for their problem from reading a post online.
