Hull Hooks

Did Yamaha make hull hooks with a larger hole, lets say to fit an 8mm bolt?

I built a wdk hull at one point where it was either install ufo mounts or use the lay down wdk mounting pod. I chose the pod. It had 3/8 coarse inserts in it. I spread oem mounts apart, drilled the hole, tighten them down, then bent them back together. Not my favorite work, but I had to do it

With a tnt comp chamber you won’t have to worry about that hood

Yeah, I've drilled them out before too... not fun at all. Just figured I would check to see if there was another option.

I have some extras you can have if you need them. I remember trying to drill a few out without a vice and with only a hand drill....that was violent!

I'm talking about the hooks inside the hull, the ones that you attach the rubber straps to.

Ohhhhhhhh ok

I drilled all my oem ones out to 8mm on my sv and my wife’s Sv they both have 8mm inserts. It was time consuming to do it and you waste a lot of drill bits then just use a 8x1.25x16mm button head Allen and it works

Would something like this work for you? They are currently setup for m6. I can imagine you could easily drill to m8 and use a countersink tool to make them work for your application. These go for $9 a piece.

Lenox Uni-bit / Step drill and tap magic or a good "cutting fluid". Don't spin it too fast and it will cut like butter
