Hull Modification Questions

I have two questions regarding changes made to my hull. First off I cut -2.5 off my hull this winter, I have never ridden a shortened superjet. But from the reviews i've read, is sounds like the ski is more agile and able to make sharper turns but also rides more nose high. my whole goal is to be able to flip and roll the ski, which is why I did the mod.

However also like to rip buoys with my friends every now and then. I currently have my tray cut out still and was thinking about adding bolts from the inside to be able to attach hull extensions when I want to for racing against my friends. so my question is, would this be worth doing or just forget about it.

Second question, I was thinking about adding tubbies. How much harder is it to flip and role the ski with the added weight and width of tubbies?

rolls are fine, flips are not likely from too much weight without big huge cc hp
my stock '08 was 108 lbs bare after reinforcing the sides and handpole mounting area for bad landings added 10 lbs
so at 118 lbs just not doable

I've seen a few vids of ppl flipping stock hulls with a 760, but not sure what pump, bore, or compression they run. Just seen a B pipe and ada head. Trim kit to. I also want to flip my SJ. I think I'll be cutting 4" off the back and it has a rocker kit so it will be pretty short overall.

How can anyone chime in without knowing what his waves are? Ocean? Boat? i.e. you can do whatever you want with whatever you want in big waves.

Just sayin :)

-2.5" will be barely noticeable, you won't be flipping it unless off large wakes, you won't likely end up bolting and unbolting hull extensions but one time then realize its a waste of time, the tubbies won't effect rolling or flipping to much and if you are not already rolling or flipping, you won't notice a difference. Longest sentence ever!

I used the pieces I cut off my X2 to make removable hull extensions for surf / bouys. I haven't ridden it much.

I think i'm going to skip the hull extensions, it's not like I truly race it, only against friends. And for the tubbies I might install some later, after I get the ski all together.

For my motor it's a 701 with ported cylinders, ADA head with 35cc domes, moded CDI, factory pipe with 44mm carbs. I'm thinking off a 4ft wake it should be able to flip and roll. I also have a pro tech trim system

4ft wake probably doable. I am working on a similar setup but took 5" off the back and rockered the nose. Same motor setup but single 44. I think my hull and hood alone will be pushing 130lbs. Im hoping to roll. Not much hope for a back flip off any sized wake with my riding ability
