300/440/550 Hull Performance Question For scupper idea

Ok, so I'm in the process of Annihilating my hull and i and planning to put a scupper valve in my ski.
How ever the Back end of the ski has that what looks like a factory add on hull extending piece.

The question is:
What if i Were to cut if off to give me that flat surface i need for a scupper valve?

SEE THE ATTACHED PICTURE

Please let me know how this would or could effect me ski in the surf.

It would handle differently, they were designed that way to break off....... keeps you from crushing the rear....... I had to replace one on mine.......

But there is not reason you could not install a scupper and have it at an angle or install a one way valve.

You could dump it into the pump area. Or recess it into the extention so it mounts flat on the hull or have it come thru the extention & mount on an angle. If I were mounting it on an angle I'd use a 24/7 type that mounts flush on the transom.

It is cool how you are going big on that old school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You just don't see anyone riding one. I have a neighbor kid who has a 90 550sx and he loves it and have told him about your you tube video. Don't give up looks like that thing rips!!!
