Hi guys,

Trying to understand why A competition hull is not recommended for someone learning to do flips and etc.

I'm interested in the 2015 Richter xfs but I keep finding competition hulls for sale not the regular full carbon

Thank you

They are just lighter layups, which makes them thinner to keep the weight down but are also not as forgiving when it comes to failed tricks. Most pros don't flop their skis so it is only strong where it needs to be

I agree carbon is really strong too, I think they do it to avoid warranty claims, I wouldn't be worried about a competition rickter, but as said above some are made better then others.

I was standing next to a 2012 WF comp boat and felt the engine bay carbon thickness, it was 1 layer thick, that's it. The hull builder said they would never sell this type of layup to the general public.

After my own failed attempts, sometimes landing the side of hull/hood flat in the water first, I kinda see why. My 02
