Hull Question

We have a 16 XFS Comp w/ the Textreme hull and it's been flopped many times learning to do flips. It's a very solid hull, not some flimsy "race only" type of construction. Other than the weight savings and the cool factor of the Textream, the Comp model also has a larger intake tract and no foam.

That's good to hear no damage on flops .. but then again do you flop a lot ? Is it off flat water or big waves ? Lol. I'll be learning to flip..

Flat water only. Getting the ski only half way around is the worst, the ski lands upside down. With a XFS and good power it's hard to only get halfway around. Only did that a couple of times in the first three I tried. Then for a few attempts I got 3/4 the way around, that isn't so hard on the ski it just dives straight into the water. I'm getting better so not much flopping anymore, but I do mess up from time to time and crash big time. The eighth try i made it all the way around. Didn't really ride out of it, but made it around.

If you are a experienced rider and have a go for it attitude it won't take you long at all. Don't go into it timid or you'll never make it around. Trim? Pump? You building the ski? Who are you getting the hull from?
