Only Cuz you haven't Road them both yet !!
My post was meant to be positive and maybe some of my posts were worded wrong. Although the Backie Chan may have been loosely based off the Rok-R hull think your changes and improvements have enough to set it apart and I was pointing out the size of the tray as a great thing. I have a Superfreak so I can really appreciate a huge tray and the ability to move around if desired. I have said it all along that what you're doing is great and the way you are getting started in this industry is no joke! You gave away the first 5 hulls at a killer price (actually 6 since there was confusion about who #5 was), you rushed to get everything together for Daytona and drove across the country with a rented enclosed trailer that held your 2 demo jetskis (as well as transporting other skis/hulls in your trailer for other riders to help them out), and you never want in the water once all weekend that I'm aware of, you were there just to promote your product and prove it's ability to all the competition/believers/haters/buyers/dreamers etc. And now you are stepping up again by offering a free sponsorship hull to an Amateur competitor and a free RTR ski to a pro competitor. Not to mention that you are trusting the x-h2o community to make the decision for you as to who the competitors will be. I have nothing negative to say about you, your company, your product, or your intentions. I think it's great to have more budget friendly hulls and more options to chose from. You are correct I have not ridden a Rok-R or the Backie Chan but I was at Daytona and spent quite a bit of my time talking with you guys and helping out with your skis since you spent so much time, money, and energy following through with your promise to have these hulls availabe for testing in Daytona. I even offered you to come work on your skis at my house since i live locally to the freeride if you remember correctly. I'm not a flatwater guy and that's another reason I spent more time helping you and talking with you rather than riding but I do wish I had at least tried them now. I actually tried to PM you about riding Monday but your inbox was full so I PMed Str8huckin and he said you'd be riding but I wasn't going to take another day off of work without knowing for sure.
I mean the guy lives in his van with the jetski.
i vote swapmeet. never seen him ride. not even once. but, he's been busting his ass all summer trying to get a hull water worthy. I don't even know how many times he got to get on the water last season. While being a dad and husband. He's supported you and your hull it seems like from day one. he flew to daytona just to ride it. In my opinion, you should put an amateur in the amateur class. which some of these guys are, but why not help someone out who has atleast been looking at your hull and has been interested. I understand it'd would be sweeeeeet to put a great rider on there and take home a nice top 10 finish (or even placing at all) but find a badass for the pro class. hell, swapmeets already getting a hull. just send him an engine to ride with. maybe a nice pump and trim. i may be talkin out my rear end here, but its just an opinion. on two conditions i nominate swapmeet, he has to replace his avatar with his old one and Matt_E has to get another crazy faced avatar lol
