One more thing to consider, besides the money involved fixing a big motor being blown up:
Every hull is soooo different. Lets say you ride an OEM for years and switch to AM hull....like I said before...its culture shock. You can spend 5k on an engine, take care of it, and it can still blow up. But to do it right when you choose a hull you are going to spend a lot of time and money traveling to ride hulls, etc. And then you drop around 5k to buy that hull. In the end its really the same thing...a huge investment .Therefore, considering the process, I'm sticking to my original guns. Like I said I am all freeride and no flatwater...my blood boils for waves. When I get the opportunity to leave my 650 superjet behind I'm 90% sure I'll stick to a superjet with a bad azz engine!
Unless I find a magical hull while i tear my SJ to pieces. And BTW the closest I've rode to that (for me) is a Vision.
