Hurraican Air vents

I'm in the middle of repareing a 2013 2c Hurraican and want to take out the air vents that's by the Handel pole area, it will be vented by the Handel pole tubes anyways. note this Hurraican does not have a vented hood, will I need to vent the hood if I take out the vents by the Handel pole mount area? For sufficient air flow lol. Any ideas would be cool!

I have a hurricane 898. my venting through my xm pole wasn't enough. Don't drill the hood its full of foam and really hard to get the air routing to work. either keep those ones in the hull or drill some a little further back near the hood seal where the very front of the hood will cover the holes but leave air flow. this is what i did and it worked great i will try to get a pic to explain it better.

So an RRP poll and RRP poll bracket ?

The RRP tubes will fill the RRP poll bracket holes, xmetal uses a smaller tube

I ran my Hurricane with just the RRP tubes acting as breathers ,it was enough air for single boosts and kept water out fairly well .but if you were trying to put together multiple tricks you might look into feeding more air into the engine compartment ,I like what @Marcgraham27 did .Was yours a Vinyl ester resin build or an Epoxy resin Hurricane ? cause man i hate to see them beat down like that ,must have been a rough learning curve . I would like to see what you plan to do

I just picked up this ski so still trying to find out what they used to make the ski ,I'm waiting to here back from Hurraican ind. this is my 4th project that I'm taking on lol here is a pic of my first ski

And as far as what I plan to do, some of its in the air but what I plan to do is renforce the Handel pole area. top deck is going to be Carbon fiber look, and the bottom deck I'm gel coating it black, that's the plan at the moment that way if I need to repair the bottom agen it won't be as bad, the first paint job had a lot of cracks it only took $1.75 scraper to remove all the paint on the bottom deck in 5 hours later lol
