Freestyle Hydro-turf bad service

the black tip wishbone is awesome, I have it on my square, and it is very grippy, but you can ride in barefeet and not get chewed up feet like with hydroturf. I have had it on all season, and it shows no signs of wear. I will definitely use it when I do my rn I am building.

I have just recently put the black tip wishbone on my fx1, It does feel like it would be slippery, but it grips good.

Blacktip is going to put a hurt on them, its just a matter of time, HT has a great product, what they do not have is any kind of customer service. These days people want to spend their hard earned money with a company they feel is actually doing something to earn it.

FWIW I have always just called HT....asked for the X discount....placed my order and received it within a couple of weeks...not bad IMO....

This is my hydroturf experience as well, great product (except for 2 color turf delamination) but poor service.

I tried to order (as a direct hydroturf dealer) several sheets of black turf and pad (not a custom order) about a month before daytona and was told no more orders this year. They were rude and unhelpful on the phone.

They act like a monopoly!!

You cannot do orders over the phone anymore.
Orders have to be placed over the web.

I said this in my other thread... HT is an awesome product and they support our sport heavily (well at least they used to). It's just unfortunate they have basically turned their back on us. The sad part is, they're going to close their own doors if they keep this up. If you want two tone turf or a custom color, I understand it taking 2-4 weeks to get to you. Gray and black diamond is their staple though. Sheets of that stuff should be on the shelf at ALL times ready to ship out in a day or two.

I've never heard of them saying "no more orders this year". That's just total crap!

I waited almost 4 weeks for regular black diamond turf, Not even any custom color. Will never buy from HT again unless they keep it in stock.

Wow a lot of you guys are sure quick to throw Hydro Turf under the bus. There products reputation doesn’t need to be defended, everyone knows it’s the best. Every other option is inferior. Besides Hydro Turf is one of the original and one of the biggest supporters of our dwindling sport. What ever happened to “Support those who support the sport”? Believe it or not Hydro Turf isn’t that big of a shop and they basicly supply the entire world of Watercraft riders with turf so 2-4 weeks for a custom order isn’t bad. When I order OEM parts from Greater Yamaha I wait at least that long. Give ‘em a break, Maybe you should plan your orders requiring custom stuff with more lead time?

HT needs to get with the program. Their no call in order policy blows, especially when you are forced to use their crappy website that doesn't have half the crap listed.

I need to order a sheet or two so might try the blacktip out. Hopefully they'll be offering underpad soon.

There isn’t a business alive today that doesn’t have a few stains on its reputation. I’m not even suggesting that some of us haven’t gotten the best turn around times, I’m just saying that before people start writing Hydro Turf off consider their support of our sport AND their SUPERIOR product. Hydro Turf also is more of a resale outlet who caters to end suppliers anyway. I am fortunate enough to live within driving distance and have been to their shop many times. For a world wide supplier they are very small. Yes they still sell direct but they’re really set up to sell large quantity orders to end sellers like Blowsion etc. When you’re supplying the entire world, It’s the best way to make their business model work. Consider this, if YOU ran a business and an order for 20,000 units came in from somewhere would you take your limited labor pool and give precedence to a single sheet order? Like I said Greater Yamaha has about the same turnaround time. Turf isn’t an item that works one day and doesn’t the next. We all have plenty of lead time when we know we’re going to need some turf. If your turf needs replacing, plan accordingly or call Blowsion and pay out the nose for overnight.

No one is really bashing the product. Everyone loves it. However, 2 weeks in today's society is a really long lead time when ordering generic stuff and 4 weeks is unheard of. Heck when I placed my order for footholds, padding, and turf it was the weekend and I was in Israel at the time. Knowing the following weekend, I would just be back in the country, I knew I wouldn't work on anything. The footholds were sitting on my doorstep when I got home. No big deal that the turf wasn't. The next weekend, I had plenty of time but figured my order may not be ready...unfortunate but not the end of the world. The 3rd weekend, I was revved up and ready to tear into my ski but got notification the day before that my order was ready to ship out....*sigh*. I haven't waited 4 weeks for anything in a REALLY long time. Heck I got a riding lawn mower and a washer and dryer shipped across country from two different places in about a week.

I understand that these guys supply the world. However, that's not really an excuse to provide poor or zero customer service. They had customer service years ago when they sold fewer products. Now that they're selling more, you can't tell me that they can't afford to pay someone $8/hr to man the phones a few hours a day. "We're the best, deal with it" isn't really the best business practice.

Exactly why I order my turf from Blowsion.
I am a bit disappointed in the two tone stuff.

From now on I am just using Big Lots turf on my skis, its thicker than HT, its $18.00 for a giant roll, its always in stock, there is no shipping , go to the store and pick it up.
I usually end up turfing every two years anyway ,hell if they will give me a sticker I will even display it on my ski

Big Lots FTW !

If you pay attention to the markets, you will know that companies are actually investing, just not in extra labor at this time (things are tight and people are nervous, especially this weekend).

What exactly is Big Lots turf supposed to be for? Just curious. We have a Big Lots here.
