Hydroturf Help needed please!

I have my side pieces cut and they’re ready to be glued on, however I’m struggling with the idea of how to cut the turf to its final shape once it’s on the ski. The tape lines are my desired final line and the pieces are cut a little large to be trimmed once glued on.

What’s the best method for cutting the turf in place?
Also I’m guessing I have to glue it in series letting it dry each time when doing the sides because of the curves?
Any help is appreciated this is new to me!

Don't attempt to cut it once it's on. You'll never get a nice line. Instead, glue it to where you want the line and trim on the tray side. Glue the whole piece and the ski at the same time. Doing it in sections, the fresh glue will soften the already stuck glue. Get 3 coats on both the turf and the hull. Take your time. Stretch and apply heat where needed. Its an tedious job but take you're time and it'll come out nice. Practice makes perfect. Don't be afraid to scrape it off and start over.

Do I try and wrap it around the top corner where I have to make the cut in order to match them up at the same time as starting from the top or can I save that for last somehow?

Defiantly don’t cut the top edge on the ski. You can apply multiple layers of tape on the top of the gunnels from front to back, overlapping in opposite directions, then use a razor to trim the top line where you want it. Remove the inside tape, trash it. Remove the outside tape very carefully (outside where you want the turf) and use that piece of tape as a template on your turf. If anything you MIGHT be able to align that top edge right where you want it and then trim the very bottom edge with a razor. Your tray turf will hide that bottom line especially if you are using underpadding.
