I am going to turf my sxi pro, have ordered the turf, but was wondering how to do the sides of the tray, do I turf the orginal side panels then reinstall them? or do I just bin them and turf the tray itself? do I put a layer of padding around the sides of the tray before putting the turf on?

turf direct onto the hull. throw away the old side pads
padding under truf is nice and makes for a better ride
it is more important on the bottom of the tray
and in the footholds than on the side of the tray
dont forget to install footholds before turfing!

mx2strokes.... if you're throwing away your tray wall trim, I'll take um, no matters what vinyl condition or color.

Just as long as the plastic is structurally sound.

Just a tip, If you use 5mm padding on the sides before you put turf down it will make the edge of the turf line up with the body line perfect. I highly suggest using 8mm on the tray and 5mm on the sides, It saves your limbs when you land on them. The sides can be brutal without padding.

^video.... So it looks like the glue was on the hull....., It looked like there was no glue on the turf ask he was laying in on.

Correct???
