This technology has been out for a while. I have seen it used while making surfboards. The wire i havent seen its a great idea.

Looks like it's basically cloth impregnated with sun cure.

its been around in the autobody ind. for quite some time, minus the wire. i think it was duramix that had some used to make patch panels. shape it, cure it, stick it. works great for quick repairs.
