I bought a port template

I bought a port template and some folks referred me to here to ask yamanube about it as it may look like a ring eater. While better then handy with a wrench I'm a noob and just fiddly-farting around. ie..I'm ok making mistakes..

Before yesterday I didn't know there was a yamanube or an x-h20 so why I didn't start here.

I google'd for the template a few weeks back and since then had read a couple of performance books and from what I can tell the shape of the port can have a pretty big impact on the behavior of the motor. Also, I've got some folks telling me it looks like a ring eater and to ask around to see if anyone waves me off of this template. I have some spare parts handy so thought I would give it a try and am not worried about breaking some stuff.

Also, I wasn't sure how to do a mention here.. #yamanube..

I'm hesitant to say who exactly made the template but it is from a website that sells them. If it works out and I'm happy with it I'll for sure share the name with appropriate accolades.

Any recommendations appreciated..

I know racelogic used to make them for a lot of stuff years ago. But i thought they went out of business. That's why I was asking.

I steered him here from over there. Figured yamanube^^^ could maybe educate him, if what he has is okay, or if op should just buy new from him. My job here is done.

Also, I'll double check but pretty sure it was racelogic..Also, I don't appear to have the ability to message #yamanube. Am I missing it somewhere? If it's not ok to post someone elses port template please feel free to remove it btw..

I will send you a message, but feel free to post your questions here or your experience. I only made my template because RaceLogic quit making theirs. I am indifferent if people would rather buy their template over mine.

I happen to have a couple of 700 jugs from bad oil pumps so, I'll try a couple of different ones if yours are still available #yamanube

Yeah didn't know they started again. Yamanube always try to help out when he can.
I'm pretty sure he still sales them.

They don’t look like a ring eater to me. Jetmaniac cylinders have a similar appearance as well
