Super Jet I can't get out the stock bilge screw

I can't turn it with a screw driver, tried multiple sizes. I can't reach it with any sort of pliers. I can only get at it in one angle with my locking needlenose and the just pop right off. I can spray it with some liquid wrench. I can't reach it with anything to tap it with a hammer or etc. I can't reach it with a drill to cut the head off.

I have an aftermarket bilge bracket that has a place for the stock bilge. I don't care about the screw, but I do care about the bracket.

Everything else down there is hex. No problem to remove. Why the F did they use a phillips. Screws are gay. They have no place on a boat.

Advice please.

an impact screwdriver will pull it right out. Its similar to a wood screw and sent right into fiberglass.

Is the motor pulled?

I would use an impact driver or vise grips as a last resort.

No, motor is in there. This is suppose to be a simple job. Already had to pull the dash to get the ebox out, but that's not too big of a deal. Now I can't get this screw out. I got really frustrated and walked away. I have an impact driver but I don't think it'd fit in there even if there was some magical way I could hit with it a hammer.

I'm not pulling the motor.

leave it alone? break it off?

I have plenty of stock bilge mounts if you need one. You wont hurt much on the ski if you just rip it off the hull.

I appriciate the offer. I can't leave it there. It has to be taken off to install the bilge bracket. I'd rather not break it off. I'd already be done with the job if this screw would came out. I'd hate to spend money and wait for a part to ship that I already have on my ski.

I don't think I can get in there with the dremmel to cut the head off. Any other suggestions?

There's plenty of room on the right (ski's right) side to glue the bilge down instead of using the bracket. I am just going to do that for now. I will put installing my bilge bracket on my to-do list the 1st time I have my motor out.

Can I use Silicone to glue it down? (becuase I already have it) I'm probably going to go buy some 5200 and use that (unless that's not ok, let me know).

BTW, what's this thingy do? It's a 1/4 hose that is connected to my carb bracket that looks like it was suppose to go to a nipple on my bearing housing that had come off. Seems kind of random. What's it there for?

It goes to you midhaaft housing. Don't worry about greasing it only puts grease against the seal. I would suggest 5200 to glue the bilge down. Even that is a gamble if you have any big flat landings. The bilge will come off.

make sure you get the "fast cure" 5200 otherwise it will take 3-4 days to cure...been there done that and the 5200 runs on ya downhill.

Grease hose for putting grease between the rear midshaft oil seals. Just zip tie the hose back on the midshaft housing.

You have another issue. Your midshaft and engine couplers are way too far apart. Factory spec is 3-4 mm.

Either your motor has shifted way forward or the midshaft wasnt pressed properly or the motor slammed the midshaft back.

Lol mine looks the same way right now.

Seems every winter I am pressing it back forward. Too many tail landings in the shallows on small wave days.

I thought that was strange. 'll check my motor mounts. What's the steps for fixing my midshaft if that is the problem?
