Other I got traded a wonky Mod Chamber

So I put up a post last fall after the season was over in attempt to trade my Factory B-Pipe limited chamber for a Mod chamber.

Took a few weeks but I got a bite, and over the course of texting back and forth for 3 months, finally got both the chambers in the mail on trade, and he shot me $50 because of the 'condition it was in'. Mine was a 2013 from Riva brand 2-year old in good shape limited chamber.

The chamber I received sat in the corner of my garage until tonight when I attempted to install it in my Circus. It didnt work. I don't know how I didn't catch this until now, but the chamber has been seriously modified, and there's not a chance in hell it's going to flush up against the head pipe. It's some 25 degrees off.

Has anyone seen this modification before? I feel like the only way I'm going to be able to ride this June is if I cut it and take it to a shop to get welded AGAIN in the proper alignment. My lid is flipped and I'm ready to rage.

It's missing the dimple by the stinger, so I don't believe it's an FX-1 chamber. Without a doubt you will need to cut and re-weld it to get it to fit and stay.

This is complete BS that someone sent you this disaster chamber that looks like chit ! I would have lost sleep last night over this nonsense. Forget texting, I hope you are calling him up to undo this nightmare. This is ridiculous !

Just got of the phone with the guy. He apparently had no idea it was modded and it fit his Superjet 'just fine'. He since sold the ski with my old limited pipe in it so I'm SOL. Effing sucks too. I don't want to assume he knew the pipe was jacked, but the pictures he sent me before the trade took place just so happened to completely hide the little 'addition' the pipe has.

You think I should call bull-poop and write a negative review for the user?

If you should elect to have it rewelded, also keep in mind this seems to be an early pipe from 20 years ago which has the stinger pointing towards outboard. I've cut them off before, mitered and rewelded. All this would still be a cheaper option than scrapping it.

Dude won't fess up. Its my fault that I wanted the trade and apparently he told me that it was the way it was.

Anyone want to start happy hour early today??

More importantly, anyone got a mod chamber they're sitting on just for this type of occasion?
