You have to have the fat HVAC sized zips.I actually played around with trying it but my zip ties were too narrow.
It's kinda like changing out a starter without pulling the motor. Sounds easier but is in fact a 2-3 hr job. Meanwhile, had you committed to just yanking the motor in the first place, it's probably a 20 minute job tops.
