I just got my first FX1, clean stock and 100% original

I've been looking for one of these for a while now and I finally got one. Paid $2500 for it with a single trailer which I thought was a fair deal. Its missing the hood latch but other than that its in very good original condition. I bought it from the second owner who said that it had always been kept inside and has never been in salt water. It still has the original grips and turf. It even still has all of the original warning labels. I've only put one tank of gas through it so far but I love the way it rides. This thing is a handful haha! Even after several seasons on a 550sx and a SN superjet I still fell off every 5min. I'm really looking forward to getting a lot of tray time in it this summer! 20180425_090449.jpg

Dont ride it without the hood latch! You can get aftermarket ones if you look. Last thing you want is to be sourcing a hood when yours is at the bottom of the lake with all your paperwork!

The guy that I bought it from had some thick bungee cords that were holding the hood down. I'm going to try to find a small ratchet strap that I can use instead. I definitely need to replace the hood latch but I think that a ratchet strap should probably work in the meantime. There's no way I would ever ride it with the hood just bouncing around loose without anything holding it.

Does anyone have a good picture of the stock FX1 hood latch? The one on my superjet looks different.

It looks like the latch on the front is broken too. Either that or there is a piece missing because there is nothing on the front of the hood to grab the loop on the pole bracket. The bracket on the top of the hood has a hole drilled through it and it looks like maybe something was supposed to hinge on it?
